Calling All BIPOC Spoonie Authors: We Want You on the Spoonie Authors Podcast!

The Spoonie Authors Podcast season two is here and this time around we are looking to feature BIPOC Spoonies! If you’re a Spoonie who also identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a person of colour, we want to interview you!

About the Spoonie Authors Podcast

The Spoonie Authors Podcast is an interview-based podcast featuring disabled, d/Deaf, and neurodivergent authors, and/or authors who manage mental illness. We aim to provide a snapshot into the lives of disabled authors, bust common myths about disability, and push for the full inclusion of disabled folks in the publishing industry.

The Spoonie Authors Podcast was founded in 2020 as part of the Spoonie Authors Network. The podcast is hosted, produced, and edited by Dianna Gunn.

How interviews work

All interviews for the Spoonie Authors Podcast are conducted using Skype. Interviews can be recorded as audio-only or as audio-video, based on what the authors are comfortable with. Questions are sent to interviewees a few days in advance to give them time to prepare.

Please note that while we will discuss representation, we do not need to discuss your disability directly. We respect your desire for privacy and hope to showcase your work and your interests, so we can learn more about you!

To be interviewed, email your bio diannalgunn @ gmail.com and make sure to include the phrase “Spoonie Authors Podcast Interview” in your email subject line. Please note that at this time only BIPOC authors will be considered.

Thanks for sharing this post! We’re excited about continuing the amazing discussions!
